Recurring discussions regarding the preference for Arabic versus English in Arab higher education have not been adequately addressed by any previous research, which has failed to comprehensively explore these calls and their resulting effects. This paper examines existing research regarding four key issues in Arab higher education: (a) the justifications and counterarguments surrounding the Arabicization versus Englishization of higher learning; (b) historical efforts to Arabicize higher education; (c) present-day English language policies and orientations within Arab academic institutions; and (d) the practical implementation of English Medium Instruction in Arab universities. The intended outcomes of Arabicization efforts within the higher education systems of the Arab world have not been realized, facing substantial obstacles, in marked contrast with the growing prominence of English-language policies and practices in the area over the last three decades. To finish, the paper discusses the implications resulting from the review.
With the COVID-19 pandemic's onset, a milieu has been created where multiple contributors to poor mental health have been intensified. Coverage of the virus in the media, coupled with the implementation of lockdowns and re-lockdowns, might result in an increase of anxiety and depressive symptoms. A meta-analysis and systematic review were conducted by searching the databases PubMed, PsycINFO, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, identifying studies published within the timeframe of January 2020 to March 2022. This investigation used Comprehensive Meta-Analysis Version 33 software's random effects model to determine the impact size. The indicators served as the basis for evaluating the heterogeneity of the data.

This JSON schema provides a list of sentences, as requested. Examining publication bias involved three techniques: plotting a funnel plot, calculating the classic fail-safe N, and performing Egger's linear regression. The study's moderator analysis incorporated subgroup analysis, prompted by the features described in the articles included.
The analysis eventually encompassed twelve articles, each containing sixteen samples.
The 10940-subject sample allowed for the identification of 26 independent effect sizes. Within the meta-analytic framework of a random-effects model, a correlation of negative 0.330 was observed between anxiety and mindfulness levels.
Depression and mindfulness displayed a statistically significant inverse correlation of -0.353.
Mindfulness's impact on anxiety and depression was corroborated by <0001>. A meta-analysis of the connection between mindfulness and anxiety revealed a crucial moderating role played by the study's location.
This JSON schema outputs a list containing sentences. The Sample type's impact on the outcome was not significantly moderated.
This JSON schema is designed to return a list of sentences. The way mindfulness operates was a significant moderator in this context.

To investigate the alignment of Chinese adolescents' physical activity and screen time with the 2021 Physical Activity Guidelines for Chinese Residents, along with exploring the correlation between their exercise habits, screen time, and academic performance.
Data on daily physical activity duration, screen time, and academic achievement were gathered from Grade 8 adolescents.
The sentence, reshaped and reformed, displays a new arrangement, structurally distinct and uniquely different from its predecessor, a completely original approach. Data from the School Life Experience Scale, alongside the results of standardized tests in Chinese, mathematics, and English, contributed to the overall academic performance evaluation.
Adolescents' academic performance exhibited a statistically significant correlation with meeting the recommended levels of physical activity and screen time as per the Physical Activity Guidelines for Chinese Residents. Adolescents meeting the 60-minute daily physical activity threshold, as per the Chinese Residents' Physical Activity Guidelines, including screen time limitations, reported distinct experiences in their school lives compared to their peers who did not. Adolescents who maintained less than two hours of cumulative screen time per day displayed a correlation with their performance on mathematics, English tests, and school life experiences. selleck chemicals llc Significant effects were observed in adolescents' mathematical, Chinese, English, and overall school life experiences when physical exercise and screen time recommendations were met. Substantial association was observed between boys' academic performance in mathematics and Chinese, and school life experiences, and the adherence to both physical exercise and screen time recommendations within the guidelines established by the Physical Activity Guidelines for Chinese Residents. Significant differences in girls' school lives were observed when they adhered to the combined physical activity and screen time guidelines laid out in the Physical Activity Guidelines for Chinese Residents.
The connection between adolescent academic performance and either at least 60 minutes of daily physical activity or less than two hours of screen time cumulatively per day was established. The Physical Activity Guidelines for Chinese Residents (2021) should be actively promoted by stakeholders to adolescents for their adherence.
Daily participation in physical exercise for at least 60 minutes, and/or screen time limited to under two hours daily, were both correlated with adolescent academic achievement. The 2021 Physical Activity Guidelines for Chinese Residents should be actively promoted to adolescents by stakeholders.
Maintaining a competitive advantage requires breakthrough innovation over incremental improvements, characterized by exacting standards and stringent requirements. In enterprises, employees' approach and actions, as the foundational elements, are pivotal in fostering innovative initiatives. Inspired by positive organizational behavior and knowledge management theories, this paper aims to examine the link between psychological capital and groundbreaking innovation. Furthermore, this research integrates tacit knowledge sharing and task interdependence to dissect the nuanced impact of employee psychological capital on breakthrough innovation. Furthermore, task interdependence acted as a moderator, intensifying the impact of psychological capital on breakthrough innovation as task interdependence strengthened. selleck chemicals llc This study enhances research into the drivers of breakthrough innovation in Yunnan's coffee industry, increasing the practical use of the related theories. The role of psychological capital in achieving breakthrough innovation is emphasized, arising from the intricate interplay and value-added linkage of diverse internal and external resources.
The trait of emotional intelligence fundamentally relates to people's awareness of their emotions. This research project is designed to explore (a) emotional intelligence (EI) trait differences across professions in Kuwait; (b) the incremental contribution of trait EI in forecasting job performance; and (c) the association between emotional intelligence, job attitudes, and job performance. The sample in Kuwait consisted of 314 professionals, belonging to seven distinct professions, namely Bankers, Engineers, Healthcare Providers, Lawyers, Military Personnel, Police Officers, and Teachers. The global emotional intelligence assessment of the Military group showed the lowest performance, with deficits detected in three of the four measured components. In the second instance, the outcomes demonstrated that global trait emotional intelligence (EI) demonstrated a progressive predictive link to job performance, surpassing the influence of job attitudes among police officers and engineers, yet this relationship was absent in other professions. Finally, the findings indicated that job attitudes partially mediated the connection between trait emotional intelligence and job performance. Professionals in Kuwait necessitate trait emotional intelligence training, as evidenced by these findings, which impact critical job-related metrics. This study's boundaries and recommended future investigations are explored.
